Mexican José Esparza Chong Cuy, who has collaborated with the fair in past editions, will be in charge of Art in the Field, a special sector that brings sculptures, installations, and large-scale works to the public areas of Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu and can be visited by everyone, free of charge.

Esparza is the Executive Director and Chief Curator of Atorefront for Art and Architecture in New York and was a curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago: MCA, organizing important exhibitions of Brazilian artists such as Jonathas de Andrade and Marcelo Cidade in the United States.

This year, he selected eight emblematic works for the sector, stating that "Art in the Field will present a group of works by artists who are reflecting on social infrastructures and public space, installed at different areas in Pacaembu."
