The galleries’s first time participating at the fair
Aninat Gallery, founded in 1982 by Isabel Aninat, was a key space for contemporary art during the Chilean dictatorship, supporting artists like José Balmes, Juan Downey, and Carlos Leppe. It contributed to the democratic transition. Since 1997, it has promoted Chilean artists abroad. Now, under the co-direction of Javiera García-Huidobro, it has expanded across Latin America. It takes part in international art fairs, and its artists are in museums like MoMA, Tate, and Reina Sofía.
