Founded in 1972 in São Paulo, DAN Galeria, under the direction of Gláucia and Peter Cohn, initially focused on modern Brazilian art, with works by artists such as Di Cavalcanti and Tarsila do Amaral. Later, it incorporated artists such as Alfredo Volpi and expanded into contemporary and international art.
In 1985, Flávio Cohn created the contemporary art department, which was later joined by his brother Ulisses. The gallery exhibited works by Lygia Clark, Sol LeWitt, Tony Cragg, among others.
DAN Galeria highlights Brazilian artists and art movements from the 1920s to the present day, while maintaining a dialogue with international production. Its work seeks to highlight these interconnections in fairs, exhibitions and publications.
