Founded in 2015, Mitre Galeria is committed to contributing to a diverse and effervescent social imaginary in Brazil, believing in the transformative power of artistic practice. The gallery articulates proposals that activate the contemporary art scene in Minas Gerais, Brazil and internationally, with a group of artists from different generations and practices.

With a program based on aesthetic inventions that change perspectives and provoke a re-examination of the past and the future, Mitre seeks to initiate thought-provoking actions that lead us into the unknown. In 2023, the gallery consolidated its global projection with its participation in important art fairs and exhibitions, such as Frieze in New York and the São Paulo and Liverpool biennials. In 2024, it plans to open a second space in São Paulo and expand its activities internationally.
