Founded in 1973 as Gabinete de Arte, Galeria Raquel Arnaud is a pioneer in the Brazilian art market and a key player in the consolidation of contemporary art. Currently located in Vila Madalena, the gallery represents established artists such as Waltercio Caldas and Arthur Luiz Piza, as well as young talents such as Frida Baranek and Georgia Kyriakakis. In 1997, Raquel Arnaud founded the Instituto de Arte Contemporânea (IAC), dedicated to cataloging and documenting artists.
