HOA

HOA Galeria is the first Black-owned gallery in Brazil, based in São Paulo and London. It is dedicated to a decolonial perspective on contemporary Latin American art, with an emphasis on racialized artists and narratives from the Indigenous, African and Asian diasporas. Based in São Paulo, HOA Galeria presents 14 artists and has created a network of more than 40 artists across the country who have been building a new vision of the spectrum of Brazil’s racial roots through abstract and figurative works. From painting to 3D, HOA’s curatorial core presents a wide range of media to build a dialogical relationship between the diverse peoples and cultures that make up Brazil through abstract and figurative works that explore robust craft techniques as well as futuristic and fictional concepts.

The actors in HOA's DNA go beyond traditional political thinking by flooding territories that permeate their subjectivities, queer, meta-community documentary and the preservation/projection of African/Indigenous/Asian heritage. The actors in HOA’s DNA go beyond traditional political thinking, inundating territories that permeate their subjectivities, queer documentary, meta-community and the preservation and projection of African, Indigenous and Asian heritage.
