Marli Matsumoto Arte Contemporânea

Founded in August 2021, Marli Matsumoto Arte Contemporânea is located in Vila Madalena, in a modernist house from the late 1950s. The gallery uses the domestic space institutionally for the presentation of works of art, valuing the dialogue between national and international productions. The exhibitions that have been held have been organized in rooms that retain the original features of the house and the garden that surrounds the area, allowing for interaction between inside and outside. It represents young Brazilian artists Daniel Albuquerque, Élle de Bernardini, Elvis Almeida, Juan Casemiro, Leka Mendes, Raphaela Melsohn, as well as Colombian artist Rosario López.

The gallery also works in the secondary market, with important productions from the 1960s onwards by renowned artists with whom the director has worked throughout her career. A differential is the intention to work collaboratively, such as with Desapê, Projeto Vênus, art galleries, with the participation in Projeto Condo and now, in July, presenting the exhibition Mestre de Obra, commemorating the 25th anniversary of Capacete.
