Michel Rein focuses on artists who question the contemporary world in a poetic way. With long-term partnerships with emerging and established artists, both French and international, ecological, minority or historical issues are at the core of its commitment.

The gallery was founded in 1992 in Tours, France, and moved to Paris in 2000. Since 2013, it also runs a second venue in Brussels, Belgium.
