Through contemporary art, Vermelho offers a space for dialogue and provocation for actions and reactions in society. Through artist proposals, the gallery aims to offer a wide distribution of art. The intention is to activate creative production and collaborations between artists, collectors, institutions, other galleries and the public.
Founded in São Paulo in 2002, the gallery represents several generations of Latin American artists. As these artists gained strength and experience, consolidating themselves on the international circuit, Vermelho expanded its operations through participation in the most important art fairs on the world market. As a result, Vermelho’s current artist roster is considered an important reference of the millennium.
The gallery has an extensive history of collaborations with public and private institutions that are open to the public. Since its opening, the gallery has placed works by 40 different Latin American artists in 234 public and private institutions in 28 different countries.
