Sala MOS

Sala MOS is an all-new section dedicated to talks and debates open to the audience at the Fair.

Offered by MOS, the venue gathers artists, curators and researchers, allowing some of the most important names in contemporary arts to debate urgent issues concerning the country's social conjuncture.

Entitled Reinstaurarthe Sector's curatorial program is in the hands of artist and curator Carla Zaccagnini. The talks focus on works by key names in Latin American art, such as painter Di Cavanlcanti, sculptor Bruno Giorgi, conceptual artist Marta Minujín and multi-artist Frans Krajcberg.

Curatorial team

Carla Zaccagnini is a writer, curator and visual artist whose work has been exhibited in London, Berlin and São Paulo. Her curatorial work includes projects at internationally renowned institutions such as the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid and MAM-SP. In 2022, she was the guest curator of the 34th São Paulo Biennial.

Principal

In the second edition of ArPa, the Main Sector brought together renowned galleries from the national and international contemporary art market. Expanded in relation to the previous edition, the sector invited participating galleries to present exclusive projects for the fair, aiming for a non-hierarchical environment conducive to commercial and creative exchange.

Satélite

The Satellite Sector, dedicated to the exhibition of contemporary audiovisual works, provided the public at the 2nd edition of ArPa with an artistic immersion from the moment they arrived at the Fair, through a large screen located above the entrance to the Pacaembu Pavilion. Under the title Pontos de luz, in reference to the song of the same name immortalized by Gal Costa, the curatorial program signed by researcher Diego Matos brought together 10 national and international galleries, presenting works by artists from Brazil, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru and Portugal. The selection sought to reflect the human factor as inherent to the aesthetic and political survival of art.
