Main Sector

In ArPaArpa's 3rd edition, the Main Sector brings together key figures in the national and international contemporary art market.

Expanding the number of participating galleries compared to the first two years, the 60 selected galleries to be part of the sector were invited to present exclusive exhibition projects for the Fair, blending an inventive perspective in a non-hierarchical environment that enhances commercial and creative exchanges.

Base Sector

Ana Carolina Ralston is the curator of the Base sector, which combines a collective exhibition with a conversation room, providing a free flow of ideas among artists, curators, collectors, gallery owners, and researchers.

Cultural journalist, researcher, and independent art curator, Ralston is currently dedicated to research on nature art and the relationship between the environmental, feminine, and technological universes.

"The Base sector will bring together an intriguing exhibition with cycles of conversation and reflection. Under the theme 'Every living being is the Land of others,' a concept of the philosopher Emanuele Coccia, the exhibition aims to create dialogues among groups of works that deal with the environment, the native and foreign body, and the notions of society and collectivity."

Satélite Sector

Raphael Fonseca is the curator of the Satellite sector, dedicated to the production of audiovisual art, providing a sensory experience through the display of selected works on the facade of Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu.

In addition to being a curator of modern and contemporary Latin American art at the Denver Art Museum in the United States, Fonseca will also be one of the curators of the Mercosul Biennial, which will take place this year in Porto Alegre.

In this year's edition of ArPa, the Satellite sector will be open to the public, and the curation brings to the sector a proposal that emphasizes an innovative perspective on the intersection between art, visual culture, and history.

UNI Sector

Germano Dushá is the curator of the UNI sector, dedicated to solo stands of artists with a fresh perspective on current issues.

Connected to new production, Dushá coordinates the organization Fora, focused on contemporary artistic practices, and will be one of the curators of the Brazilian Art Panorama at MAM São Paulo this year.

For ArPa, he will bring together "galleries from different countries, featuring Latin American and Caribbean artists who, through different means, engage with a shared vital energy, sensitively and uniquely addressing the vital mystery that surrounds and composes us. Their works synthesize organic nature, reframe historical and ancestral issues, or deal with the ethereal aspects of life - representing or incorporating esoteric symbols and spiritual practices."
